PART - I


i was supposed to be jobless, then i started workin for my sis who i might mention is a workaholic herself ! so she made me work my ass.. and it took me a month to recover from that..

but u knw i might hav grumbled abt traffic for so long... but i never realizied how bad it was until i was workin for my sister and to get bac home from office i had to drive for two hrs....... DROVE ME INSANE.. after i got homei was practically a zombie in front of the tv and sadly it led to me becomin a couch potato ! ( k enuf of ramblin for one day ) comin to the point... we need to find a method where we can ensure transparency in governance in blore. to the problems that face us. i have somethin radical in mind.. the govt says we can have village panchayat... so y cant we have complete self government.. lets call it BANGALORE CITY PANCHAYAT and just for kicks lets give them all the power to take all the relevant desicions ! If Delhi can have it why cant we have it in blore ?????

anyway i bid blore adeiu... and ultimately wat u do realize is that its the people that make a place.. be it a bar tender at a fav pub or yr best freinds goin on a drive to no where !

k i havent told many ppl abt this.. (maybe just abt everyone :P ) in my first yr hols i did the most craziest thing.. me and my pals.. ( names withheld NOT on request :P ) we just went to a bus operator. and took the first bus that was der and that was toooooo karwar... we went to this awesome resort in dandeli.. .we were either very brave or very stupid ! we went to a middle of a jungle without a guide !
anyways i am headin out now so part two will be after i get bac ! of how whether we made out of the jungle or not.. (anyone with half a brain wud be wonderin how i managed to get internet if we didnt :P )

HALLA HALLA PPL
I am seriously jobless for the next three four months, so I guess this will be my SERIOUS work now ! Well for ppl who dont know me and think who is this wise crack who talks about castism and all. ( I hate to say told you so, but my post on castism was a long time before all this reservation thing started, a little bit more about that later.)
I am an almost engineer in middle of this concrete jungle called Bangalore - the IT city of india or maybe the world. We can only keep it there if we can let people get to office on time ! For people outside Bangalore - The roads are so bad, this is what Kiran Mazumdar Shaw does when she is headin towards office - she not only travels TWO HOURS EARLY and finishes all her morning phone calls for the day !
And you people in Bombay tht you had problem ! Believe me bombay is like a second home to me( u will notice that I call it bombay and not mumbai ! ) just love the energy of the place. The traffic is HORRIBLE, but alteast there is some sense to the madness, PEOPLE DONT TRY TO KILL YOU ! Ok I dont mean to say they do that in B'lore but its pretty close when autos who dont show signals and buses that suddenly stop FOR NO REASON ! (You can make out that I have had quite enough with bangalore traffic :P )

I shall talk more about reservation later, but I would like people to think about this, the Supreme Court says the matter is Sub judicie (For non legal people - case being tried ) and says not to protest any further. I am just curious when we were right on the verge of a national debate on reservation it says WE SHOULDNT discuss it anymore, is it just me or does this sound like a conspiracy to quell the protest !

ok ppl... i am back after hiatus... damn THIS coll.... fine i ll stop ranting now...

k call me a little behind the times... started using orkut recently k... found all my coll pals and some of my old school pals...so that was cool... and then to my amazement found my school's community that was neat....

here comes the irritatin part... i found a community which was my so called subcaste of my so called caste k... i wont get into the details...but wat irritated me was instead of using technology to break barriers we r using it to make new ones... really plz tell me do we really need a community for this...its just plain stupid...

Very often i have had this argument to y we need this with the ppl of the prev gen and now to find that it might continue in ours as well is kinda depressing... i think wat tends to happen is we get trapped in the interia of traditions... i have always felt any practise has to evovle...but i never tht i would see castism ONLINE ! who the hell r we to think that we r beta than someone just becoz by the pedrgree of our birth.. somethin to think abt...

Let me start off that i can vary from the incredibly insane to the boringly sane ! Anyway being by first post, let me explain the name of my blog

Have u ever noticed that within certain narrow parameters we r able to be very broad minded... Like for example i have personally nothing against the gay community. Its k if forgeiners r gay we can be completely tolerant..thats a part of their culture !(ya tell THAT to the catholic church ! ). But as russell peters's dad wud say "indians cannot be gay".

We show a glaring set of standards one for ourselves and one for others..... maybe we got to remember at some point of time that even they r human. Of course I have a lot of pals who r homophobic...may be its a part of every guys fear that one day he might get up u know "swinging the other way". But its a choice i feel if u dont understand atleast u should respect it...
